The remote islands are home to many vulnerable orphans with no safe place to live—none of them receiving professional trauma care. These children must survive on their own or in unstable conditions, often lacking protection. By September 2026, HMCHug will construct and operationalize a fully equipped, sustainable community children's home on a high-need island, featuring a residential wing, counseling center, dining hall, and playground. This facility will be officially registered with the Ministry of Gender and Social Development and staffed with trained social workers and caregivers
Every year, this home will serve as a vital lifeline for over one hundred orphaned and abandoned children from the islands. This ensures that vulnerable youth who previously lacked any stable shelter can now receive professional emotional support, regular nutrition, and consistent care right in a safe, loving community.
Our strategic goal is to raise two hundred fifty thousand dollars to complete the construction and full equipping of this modern residential home. This investment covers everything from structural building and furnishing to sustainable food systems, ensuring this facility is ready to transform lives from day one.
Our specialized suites offer a safe, domestic environment for children, replacing dangerous living conditions. Every facility provides continuous supervision and is equipped to foster a sense of belonging, ensuring every child receives immediate care and emotional security during their most formative years.

Our services include routine literacy training, homework help, vocational skills workshops for older youth, and specialized computer labs to bridge the digital divide and prepare children for independent success.
